Brighton Railway Station assault: Police appeal as forensic work continues

Brighton, England — A section of road outside Brighton Railway Station remained cordoned off on Sunday as forensic investigators examined the scene of a serious assault, Sussex Police said.

Officers were called to a report of an incident in Queens Road at about 03:45 BST. A 32-year-old man had facial injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, the force added.

Police said inquiries are ongoing to find the suspect and have not named anyone in connection with the assault. They are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them.

Queens Road runs alongside the station and serves as a key route into Brighton city center for commuters, students and visitors. The cordon could affect early-morning pedestrians and traffic in the area while investigators work, though police have not said how long it will remain in place.
