Decibel Brings Apple, Meta, and Microsoft to 24/7 On-Chain Trading, No Brokerage Required

Traders can now take long or short positions on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL), Meta (NASDAQ: META), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), and Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) — no brokerage account, no market hours, no middleman. The move marks another step in the push to bring traditional equities into the round-the-clock world of decentralized finance.

Decibel, a fully on-chain perpetual exchange built on the Aptos blockchain, has added five new markets: AAPL, META, MSFT, MSTR, and LIT. Aptos is a high-performance layer-1 network designed for speed and scalability, capable of processing thousands of transactions per second with sub-second finality — critical for a platform where every trade, liquidation, and margin check is recorded publicly on-chain.

The implication goes beyond convenience. Consider a typical earnings scenario: Apple reports after the close on a Friday. The stock moves sharply, but traditional markets stay dark until Monday morning. On Decibel, traders can react the moment the numbers land — no gap, no delay.

That window matters more than ever in the current environment. Tech stocks have been volatile. According to CNBC, the Nasdaq surged 15.29% in April — its best monthly gain since the pandemic-era rally in April 2020 — powered by strong results from Alphabet, Amazon, and Microsoft. But the rally didn't hold. By June 24, the Nasdaq and S&P 500 had fallen back, dragged down by valuation concerns. Micron Technology provides a vivid example: the stock rose more than 200% in 2026, then closed 0.3% lower on Wednesday before beating Wall Street estimates after the bell, Reuters reported. Traditional traders had to wait until Thursday to act. On Decibel, that wait doesn't exist.

Perpetual futures — contracts with no expiration date — track an asset's price in real time through funding rates. Decibel's version runs entirely on Aptos, meaning every order, liquidation, and margin adjustment is publicly verifiable. No closed-door matching, no hidden fund movements.

This isn't Decibel's first expansion. The exchange launched gold perps in April, added silver and oil soon after, and listed Nvidia, Tesla, Google, and Amazon in May. Adding AAPL, META, MSFT, and MSTR puts some of the world's most traded equities fully on-chain for the first time — a milestone that underscores the growing convergence of traditional finance and decentralized infrastructure.

The market Decibel is entering is expanding rapidly. According to BitMEX's Q1 2026 Derivatives Report, weekly volume in commodity perpetual markets surged from $38.1 million to $25 billion in a single quarter — a 65,463% increase. Equity perps are expected to follow a similar trajectory, and Decibel is positioning itself as the venue where that shift happens, one asset class at a time.
