Goldman Sachs Sees SpaceX AI Revenue Surging 100-Fold Ahead of Record-Breaking 2026 IPO

Elon Musk’s SpaceX is inching toward its public market debut, but Wall Street’s attention is increasingly locked on its artificial intelligence arm. According to a forecast shared with a potential investor — and first reported by the Financial Times — Goldman Sachs expects SpaceX’s AI segment to generate $322 billion in annual revenue by 2030, a hundredfold surge from just $3.2 billion in 2025.

The projection lands as Musk’s rocket company prepares for what analysts describe as the largest IPO in market history. In early February 2026, SpaceX acquired xAI in an all-stock transaction, creating a combined entity valued at roughly $1.25 trillion. Because xAI had already purchased the X social platform in 2025, the deal consolidated Musk’s rockets, satellites, the Grok chatbot and his social media operation under a single roof.

The strategic logic, Musk has argued, is to build data centers in space. Abundant solar power and the extreme cold of orbit could make off-planet facilities cost-effective for running power-hungry AI models like Grok. SpaceX’s launch capability and Starlink satellite network would provide the means to put that compute into orbit.

The bank sees the AI unit climbing 388% this year to $15.6 billion, then reaching $34.5 billion in 2027. SpaceX’s total revenue, Goldman estimates, could hit $474 billion in 2030, up from $18.7 billion in 2025. Related: Michael Burry drops bombshell on SpaceX, OpenAI IPOs

SpaceX is reportedly seeking to raise at least $75 billion at a valuation between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion, per Reuters, which would make it the biggest public debut ever. When it filed its Form S-1 with the SEC on May 20, the company disclosed holding 18,712 Bitcoin on its balance sheet as of Dec. 31, 2025 — worth well over $1 billion at current prices, instantly making it one of the most valuable corporate crypto positions to go public.

Grayscale research head Zach Pandl predicted last month that a treasury of that size could help normalize Bitcoin as a mainstream reserve asset for large, operationally complex companies. But not everyone reads the IPO wave as bullish for crypto. Jeffrey Park, a veteran investor and Bitwise advisor, said investors are rotating capital into what he called “the market’s upcoming hot ball of money trades,” a group that includes the anticipated SpaceX and OpenAI listings.
