Katie Miller Calls Democratic Party’s ‘Ugly F***’ Jab at Her Husband ‘Violent Political Rhetoric’

Former Trump administration official Katie Miller on Wednesday accused the Democratic Party of stoking political violence after its official X account directed a crude insult at her husband, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
The exchange unfolded amid an increasingly bitter war of words between Republicans and Democrats over Texas state Rep. James Talarico, a Democrat who recently won his primary runoff. The GOP has taken aim at Talarico over his past statements about gender and religion. Stephen Miller posted on X that Talarico is “transgender,” a claim the lawmaker has not confirmed. The Democratic Party’s account replied: “shut up you ugly f***.”
Katie Miller, a former press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence, went on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle to denounce the post. “This is the same violent political rhetoric that is leading people to shooting up, whether it be the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, or President Trump in Butler,” she said, referencing the 2018 shooting at the correspondents’ dinner and the 2024 assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
She also attacked the person behind the account, identifying her as Paulina Mangubat, a Democratic social media staffer. “It is run actually by a sad liberal woman named Paulina, which is why Pew says 50% of liberal women at some time have identified that they have a mental health disorder,” Miller said, citing a controversial interpretation of Pew Research data. “And she is certainly one of them. What a sad state for the pathetic Democrat party.”
The incident highlights how even routine partisan sparring on social media can escalate into accusations of violence, a theme that has dominated political discourse since the two assassination attempts on Donald Trump. Critics argue that labeling personal insults as “violent” risks trivializing actual physical threats, while supporters of Miller say the Democratic Party’s vulgarity lowers the bar for political civility.
Miller’s comments drew a sharp divide online. Some observers noted that Stephen Miller, a hardline immigration architect, has himself used inflammatory language against opponents. The Democratic National Committee did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the post, which has since been deleted from the party’s X feed.
