Lyft CFO Erin Brewer Sells 15,000 Shares as Stock Posts Modest Gains

Lyft Inc. (NASDAQ: LYFT) said Chief Financial Officer Erin Brewer sold 15,000 shares of Class A common stock on Aug. 24, according to a Form 4 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The sale was executed at a weighted-average price of $17.63 per share, for a total transaction value of roughly $264,450. Lyft's stock closed that session at $17.68, leaving the shares with a one-year gain of about 4%.
Brewer's sale came as Lyft shares recovered from a 52-week low of $12.46 reached in March. The stock has been supported by the ride-hailing company's second-quarter results, which showed stronger revenue and ridership growth. Gross bookings rose 23% year over year, global riders climbed past 30 million, and quarterly revenue increased 16% to $1.8 billion.
According to the filing, the trade was a non-discretionary sale made under a Rule 10b5-1 plan. That means the transaction was scheduled in advance, a common arrangement for executives who want to avoid any appearance of trading on material nonpublic information.
Brewer still holds roughly 1.7 million Lyft shares after the sale, including about half held indirectly in a trust and the rest directly. Her remaining stake keeps her financial interests closely aligned with shareholders.
Lyft, which has a market cap of about $6.7 billion and trailing 12-month revenue of $6.8 billion, continues to lean on a multimodal strategy spanning rides, vehicle rentals, and flexible driver programs as it competes in the broader transportation-as-a-service market.
