SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 2 (Reuters) – In a strategic move to expand its footprint in the lucrative AI-assisted coding sector, OpenAI announced the launch of a dedicated mobile application for its Codex platform on Monday. The release marks a significant escalation in the race to dominate a market that has become a key battleground for AI firms seeking enterprise clients.
OpenAI executives described the new app as a platform designed to simplify the management of multiple AI coding agents over extended projects. "The goal is to bring powerful development capabilities directly into the workflow, wherever you are," an official stated during a media briefing.
