Scropton road reopens after motorbike and car collision

A road in Scropton has fully reopened following a collision between a motorbike and a car, according to Derbyshire Police.
Officers were called to Leathersley Lane at 08:22 BST on Sunday. The crash prompted an immediate closure of the road in both directions, stretching up to the junction with the A515 at Sudbury.
The closure lasted for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene and investigators examined the circumstances of the incident. Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes and avoid the area to prevent further congestion.
Police have not yet confirmed whether any injuries were sustained, but enquiries into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
The road was reopened later on Sunday after the scene was cleared and police completed their initial assessment.
