By linking Google’s Gemini Enterprise with the ServiceNow AI Platform through open protocols like the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the duo is building an automated chain of action that spans IT, retail, and 5G networking systems.

What sets this apart is the real-time collaboration between AI agents from both platforms. These agents can detect and resolve complex technical issues before they ever affect the customer experience. Among the key solutions introduced are a 5G Autonomous Network Operations tool that uses self-healing technology to fix performance anomalies, and a predictive maintenance system tailored for retail environments.

In the retail sector, Google Cloud’s BigQuery identifies equipment telemetry signals that trigger autonomous ServiceNow workflows. These workflows triage issues and dispatch technicians—all without moving or duplicating data. The entire system is managed through a unified “AI Control Tower,” which provides a single governance plane to track agent behavior and data access across the enterprise.

Industry observers are already weighing in. Sarah Lin, a senior IT analyst at CloudWatch Research, called the partnership “a logical next step for both companies, but the real test will be in how seamlessly these agents operate across legacy systems.” Mark Delaney, a tech strategist at Horizon Advisors, added, “Interoperability is the holy grail right now.
