Two deny charges after six people found in Goole truck

A man and a woman have denied charges tied to the discovery of six people in the back of a truck in Goole, East Yorkshire.
Florin Anghel, 27, and Tita Istrate, 24, are accused of doing an act to facilitate a breach of UK immigration law by a non-UK national. Each faces two counts in the case, which was brought after the six people were found in the vehicle.
Anghel, who identifies as Italian, and Istrate, who identifies as Romanian, both pleaded not guilty to the two counts during an earlier hearing at Hull Crown Court.
Both remain in custody and are due back at the same court on February 8 for trial.
Goole is an inland port on the Humber and a busy hub for commercial freight. Cases involving people found concealed in vehicles often draw attention to border enforcement, freight security and the risks faced by migrants traveling in dangerous conditions.
The hearing did not include further details about the six people found in the truck, including their nationalities or condition.
